Important Travel Information
- AIRLINE TRAVEL: When making your airline travel reservations, if you will be departing from the US schedule your departure date for June 21, 2011 as your arrival in most cases will be the following day. When departing from Bs. As., schedule your departure from EZE airport for June 30, 2011.
- ENTRY / EXIT REQUIREMENTS: A valid passport is required for U.S. citizens to enter Argentina. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for visits up to 90 days for tourism or business. U.S. citizens wishing to enter Brazil from Argentina are required to obtain a visa in advance from the Brazilian Embassy or consulate nearest the traveler's place of residence.
- ENTRY REQUEST FEE: As of January, 2010, American nationals must pay a "reciprocity fee" of USD $131.00 (per person) or its equivalent in Argentinean pesos. The payment of this reciprocity fee is NOT a visa, since Argentina does not require visa for American nationals. Forms of payment upon entry: Argentine pesos, US dollars, credit cards, or travellers' Checks.
- WEATHER: Although June in the northern hemisphere is our summer, June 22 - 30, 2011 will be Argentina's late autumn/early winter season with temperatures ranging from 40ºF - 66ºF.
